Detailed Description Supply and work services for the provision of automatic passenger counting systems (AFZS) for MVV regional bus services

Description: MVV GmbH intends to equip 310 buses of current and future transport companies in MVV regional bus transport with passenger counting systems plus options for a further 152 systems over a period of 4 years. The subject of the procurement is the delivery and implementation of components for a self-sufficient automatic passenger counting system (AFZS), which measure the number of boarding and alighting passengers in the door area of the vehicles and, together with ancillary information, transmit them to the landside via mobile communications. Specifically, these are the on-board systems including installation, commissioning, the landside technical background system and maintenance services. A particular challenge is the fact that the passenger counting systems in existing and new vehicles of different bus types and years of manufacture have to be retrofitted at different locations within the MVV network area, including future expansions. The tender is intended to find a company that has sufficient experience and capacities and supplies appropriate systems and installs them in the vehicles, puts them into operation quickly and then carries out maintenance and repair with the support of the transport companies and the client.
