Detailed Description Metal Detector & X-ray Machine Equipment & Maintenance

Supply, delivery, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of one new X-ray machine and one new walk-through metal detector.

Scope
The scope includes:
Supply, delivery, installation, testing, and commissioning of one new X-ray machine and one walk-through metal detector as specified in the technical specifications.
Maintenance of both new and existing security equipment, including two SE3307 Multizone walk-through metal detectors and two Hikvision x-ray machines.
Provision of training for operators and facilities managers on equipment operation and radiation safety.
Development and implementation of a quarterly preventative maintenance plan and corrective maintenance services, including emergency response within four hours.

Technical Requirements
The technical specifications specify:
X-ray Machine: Indoor use, dimensions 1483mm(L) x 730mm(W) x 1060mm(H), capable of scanning briefcases, backpacks, parcels, and packages, with high-density alert features.
Walk-Through Metal Detector: Indoor use, dimensions 2200mm(H) x 900mm(W) x 580mm(D), with an integral control unit, suitable for security screening.
All equipment must comply with relevant South African regulations, including licensing under the Hazardous Substances Act and registration with the Department of Health.
Installation must adhere to the Occupational Health and Safety Act, 1993, and include necessary licenses and permits.
Equipment must meet ISO standards for film safety and high-speed photographic film.
