Objectives
The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a service provider to lease a walk-through metal detector for the South African Diamond and Precious Metals Regulator (SADPMR) Head Office for a period of three years (36 months). The provider must supply, install, and maintain the metal detector, ensuring it remains functional through comprehensive maintenance, servicing, and repairs.

Scope
The scope includes:
Leasing a walk-through metal detector with a 3-part design for ease of assembly and transportation.
Providing maintenance, servicing, and repairs to ensure continuous functionality.
Responding to repair requests within 24 hours, including replacing the detector if it becomes non-functional.
Carrying out maintenance during normal working hours only.
Personnel security screening and compliance with security vetting standards.
Providing a call-out service with specified rates for repairs, after-hours, and travel.

Technical Requirements
The walk-through metal detector must:
Be of a 3-part design for ease of assembly and transportation.
Be capable of continuous operation with minimal downtime.
Allow for quick replacement within 24 hours if it becomes non-functional.
Meet specifications listed in the tender, or additional specifications based on technology advancements.
Additional technical requirements include:
Personnel working on-site must be security screened and vetted according to MISS standards.
