Objectives
The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified service provider to supply, deliver, commission, and maintain security equipment, specifically X-ray baggage scanners and walkthrough metal detectors, for the Gauteng Provincial Legislature. The provider must ensure the equipment is operational, meets specified technical standards, and is supported with appropriate training, manuals, and maintenance services.

Scope
The scope includes:
Supply and delivery of two X-ray baggage scanners and two walk-through metal detectors.
Commissioning of the equipment, including testing within a day of delivery.
Installation at designated entry points, considering logistical constraints such as staircases.
Provision of training for operators and delivery of comprehensive manuals.
Maintenance, servicing, and repairs for a minimum of 12 months post-installation, with an option for extended maintenance for two additional years.
Recycling or disposal of old equipment, with potential discounts offered for trade-in.

Walk-through Metal Detectors
