Detailed Description Library system including RFID readers


Solna City is procuring a new library system. The library system and web solution must be modern, developable, and contain all required functionality for managing borrowers, loans and books. The library system must be accessible/usable for all the city's libraries, but at least Solna City's library, leisure library, school library. The system must also ensure the system integrations that are necessary today; the city's financial system Raindance, the Swedish Tax Agency's population accounting system Navet, the national library catalog Libris, Solna City's solution for single sign-on, integrations with sorting stations, self-service machines, more open libraries, RFID readers, hand scanners, receipt printers, SMS and email mailings. The system must provide APIs for possible integrations with websites and web-based user services. Solna City sees that the system supplier should be a partner for the future development of library services. The library system is Solna City Library's most central operating system and is necessary for all activities that affect the libraries' borrowers, loans and media holdings. Integrations between the library system and self-service machines, sorting stations, and the city's financial system are labor-saving for library operations while simplifying things for library users. The system change should be completed by February 2026.
